In Australia, a “ute” refers to a light pickup-style vehicle that typically features a cargo tray integrated as part of the overall body design. Unlike a traditional pickup truck, where the tray can be removed, the tray of a ute is permanently attached to the vehicle. Utes are often built on a passenger car chassis or frame, making them smaller and more maneuverable than larger pickup trucks commonly found in other parts of the world. They are commonly used for a variety of purposes, including transporting goods and equipment, as well as for recreational activities.
