A novel engine design combining characteristics of both in-line and V-engine configurations, with a V-angle reduced to approximately 15°. This configuration results in a block shorter than that of a conventional four-cylinder unit of similar capacity. Unlike traditional V-8 engines, the VR engine features a single cylinder head.
