Salt Brine Recycling
The process of collecting and reusing brine runoff—typically a mixture of salt and water used for de-icing roads. This recycled brine is repurposed as a pre-wetting agent, which is sprayed onto dry rock salt before application. Pre-wetting enhances the effectiveness of the salt by helping it adhere to road surfaces and begin melting ice more quickly, thus improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
