Salt Fog Testing
See: Salt Spray Testing – A type of corrosion testing used to evaluate the durability of materials and coatings when exposed to a salt-laden environment. In this process, samples are subjected to a controlled mist of saltwater to simulate the effects of harsh, salty conditions, often found in coastal areas or after exposure to road salts. The test is commonly used to assess the performance of automotive parts, metal components, and coatings in preventing rust and corrosion.
