The aniline point of a petroleum product is the minimum temperature at which equal volumes of the petroleum product and aniline are completely miscible, forming a single phase. It is an important parameter in the characterization of petroleum products, as it provides information about the aromatic content of the product. Lower aniline points indicate higher aromatic content, while higher aniline points suggest lower aromatic content. This property is used in refining and quality control processes.
