Sand Casting
A metal casting process where molten metal is poured into a cavity shaped in sand within a molding flask. The sand mold is formed by compacting sand around a pattern, which is then removed to leave a hollow cavity. The molten metal is poured into this cavity, where it solidifies and takes the shape of the mold. Sand casting is widely used for producing metal parts in various industries, such as automotive, aerospace, and engineering, due to its versatility and cost-effectiveness for creating complex shapes and large components.
